Dozens Mowed Down on Busy Jerusalem Street

Sadly, 6-month-old Efrat Unterman will grow up without her mother, who was crushed to death in her car on Wednesday by a front-end loader driven by a Palestinian terrorist on a rampage. The infant was saved by quick-thinking bystanders who pulled her from the car just moments before Hussam Dweikat crushed it under his construction vehicle-turned weapon. At least 3 people were killed and more than 40 were wounded when Dweikat came barreling down Jerusalem’s busy Jaffa Road, crushing cars and pedestrians and even overturning a packed city bus. Israeli security officers who jumped onto the hulking vehicle were unable to subdue the driver, and he was ultimately shot to death by an off-duty soldier and a police officer. More on the subject...

West Point, New York, was the site of a military post established by George Washington in 1778. In 1802, Thomas Jefferson signed legislation establishing the United States Military Academy there.
